The appearance of laminate flooring planks is that of wood, but the thickness is much lower then hardwood floors. Also, the durability of these floors combined with its thin profile makes it ideal for transition areas to other floor types such as tile.
What is laminate flooring? It’s been accessible since as early as 1977 when it was invented in Sweden. It became sold first in Europe (1984) then later in the United States (1994.)
